Role and profile
As an RTLS Architect / Senior Developer you play a key role in the further development of our RTLS solutions. You combine software architecture with hands-on development and help determine how our solutions are technically designed and how they evolve.
You are responsible for a consistent software architecture and translate new requirements, use cases and technical challenges into robust and maintainable solutions. At the same time, you stay close to the code and actively contribute to the implementation in C++ and Python.
You work on positioning algorithms, filtering and technologies such as UWB and GNSS. You investigate new technical solutions and substantiate architectural choices by designing test strategies and experiments. You analyse and characterise system performance and systematically identify the root cause of technical or field issues.
You work closely with a small team of experienced developers, hardware engineers, internal stakeholders and field technicians. Thanks to these short communication lines, you see first-hand what happens in practice and the impact your technical choices have on the product.
In addition, you take on a technical leadership role within the development team. You support planning, delegate tasks, monitor developments and safeguard technical consistency. You document key decisions and continuously look for ways to make solutions simpler, more robust and easier to maintain.
Profile
You are an experienced software engineer who likes to look beyond implementation alone. You can analyse and abstract a technical problem and translate it into a well-considered architecture, while being equally comfortable writing code yourself or setting up an experiment to validate your solution.
You have at least 5 years of experience with C++ and/or Python and at least 3 years of experience with software architecture. Experience with embedded devices is important. Experience with RTLS, localisation or positioning systems is directly relevant to the role.
You are comfortable working in an environment where software, hardware, algorithms and the physical world come together.

Education
Master of Science in Engineering or Master of Science in Engineering Technology, with a sufficient mathematical background.
