Are you passionate about payroll and looking for a role with international variety—without being part of a massive corporate structure? Then this is a great opportunity for you!
As an International Payroll Specialist, you’ll be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees in Belgium and for a number of small but strategically important offices in the US, Australia, Dubai, and Saudi Arabia. This is a purely payroll-focused role—no soft HR, but rather a deep focus on numbers, processes, compliance, and quality.
You’ll work closely with local payroll partners and our internal teams, and you’ll be the go-to person for everything related to payroll. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership, bring structure, and improve payroll processes in an environment where your expertise truly matters.
Responsibilities
Manage monthly payroll processing for Belgium
Coordinate monthly payroll for international entities (ranging from 1 to 10 employees per location) in collaboration with local payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payments
Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations (tax, social security, and labor laws)
Review and validate payroll calculations and reports
Maintain personnel records (social documents, career breaks, etc.)
Serve as the internal point of contact for payroll-related questions
Collaborate closely with HR and Finance for reporting, budgeting, and audits
Proactively optimize payroll workflows and documentation
At least 5 years of relevant experience in payroll, ideally with knowledge of Belgian legislation. Experience with the SD Worx Payroll tool is a plus
Interest in (or experience with) handling payroll across multiple countries
Accurate, discreet, and strong with numbers
Independent, analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive
A passion for payroll and a preference for a “hard HR” role where you can make a real impact through quality and structure
Fluent in Dutch and English
A high-quality payroll role with international variety, but within a manageable and personal context
A warm, supportive team that values your expertise
Attractive salary package with extra-legal benefits (company car or mobility budget, meal vouchers, eco vouchers, hospitalization insurance, etc.)
Flexible working hours and hybrid work options
Possibility to work 4/5th (part-time at 80%)
Room for growth, training, and process improvements based on your initiative
On-site parking available
